We’re halfway through Jack Henry Connect, and the excitement hasn’t slowed down one bit!
Yesterday was packed with highlights, including the highly anticipated Jack Henry Cobalt Awards ceremony. This year, we honored some incredible innovators who are driving positive change in the financial world.
Your 2024 Cobalt Award winners in the Barrier Breaker category go to BankPlus (Ridgeland, MS) and Fibre Federal Credit Union (Longview, WA). Taking home the awards in the Changemaker category were Georgia United Credit Union (Duluth, GA) and IncredibleBank (Wausau, WI). And last but not least, DoubleCheck Solutions, Inc. (Austin, TX) and FINBOA (Houston, TX) earned the honors in our Integrator category.
“At Jack Henry, our mission is to strengthen the connections between people and their financial institutions through technology and services that reduce barriers to financial health. These organizations have gone above and beyond in advancing that mission, and we are honored to recognize and celebrate their outstanding work.” - Greg Adelson, President and CEO, Jack Henry
The announcements were followed by a panel discussion with the winners, offering further insights into their award-winning creativity and innovation. In addition to taking home some sleek hardware and other perks, each winning organization received a $10,000 donation to the charity of their choice.
We ended the night with the Tech Hall Reception, which was full of lively conversations and new ideas.
The reception provided a perfect chance to connect with industry leaders and learn more about the latest fintech solutions. And let’s not forget the excitement of Trivia Night, sponsored by Google! It was a fun way to test our knowledge and unwind after a busy day.
Today’s sessions have been nothing short of inspiring. The Power of Small Business session presented by Mastercard® stood out, offering insights into how small businesses can thrive in today’s economic climate.
“Every small business is also a consumer. About 20 to 30% of the consumers in your portfolio today are probably small businesses. If you don’t serve them in one area, they might just pick up and take everything with them.” - Ginger Siegel, North America Small Business Lead, Mastercard
“When it comes to money, they spend two and a half times as much as a consumer. And the average small business is four to six times more profitable to you.” - Ginger Siegel
“Between 2019 and 2020, there were 876,000 applications for new small businesses. Last year, there were 5 million. You heard that right. And this year, we are on track to see 6 million new small businesses form.” - Ginger Siegel
We also saw great conversations happening during the Manager Q&A sessions for both credit unions and banks. These sessions gave attendees a chance to ask tough questions and get real-time answers from Jack Henry leaders.
On the lighter side, the live LEGO® build continues, and everyone is loving the chance to get hands-on with their LEGO creativity.
Meanwhile, our Stand Up to Cancer Reflection Wall is filling up with dedications, and donations have reached $14,900+ and counting to support groundbreaking cancer research. A big thank you and shout out to all who have donated so generously!
Tomorrow is our final day, but it’s packed with can’t-miss events!
We’ve got the Closing Keynote by Shaun Boothe, where hip-hop meets motivational storytelling, and the big Closing Celebration at Corona Ranch. It’s going to be an unforgettable finale, so stay tuned for all the details!
